Chapter 547 - 307: Flesh Body Dao! (Part 2)
Moreover, for over a thousand years now, True Monarch Erlang the Manifested Sage has not responded to their Sect.
The three of them cultivated up to the level of Sect Leader, able to see through all the Sect’s secrets, yet even they did not know the reason.
Su Que had no desire to know this cause; he was merely recalling the three people’s Merging Dao Technique of the "Flesh Body Dao."
This Cultivation Technique, which True Monarch Erlang the Manifested Sage had passed down to their world at some unknown time, was called the "Seven-Turns Primordial Technique."
In truth, its real name was the "Nine-Turns Primordial Technique," or the "Eight-Nine Mysterious Technique."
Only, in the Sect where the three were from, it had been orally transmitted generation after generation; after a thousand years some of it was lost, and because True Monarch Erlang the Manifested Sage had long ceased to respond to them, it could not be completed, so the Sect simply referred to the remnant as the "Seven-Turns Primordial Technique."
According to the three men’s memories, if one cultivated the complete "Nine-Turns Primordial Technique," then after achieving the ninth turn, one could strip away all acquired yin, fully manifest innate true yang, refine one’s inborn three souls and seven spirits, return the nine turns to one, thereby attaining the Great Dao, with the Primordial Spirit forever gathered and undispersed, and the cultivated body likewise indestructible through ten thousand tribulations.
One could say this Cultivation Technique was precisely a Cultivation Technique for both flesh body and Primordial Spirit.
The complete "Eight-Nine Mysterious Technique" was said to have reached the level of an Upper Level Heaven-Reaching Technique.
The remnant "Eight-Nine Mysterious Technique" in the form of the "Seven-Turns Primordial Technique" barely touched the Heaven-Reaching Technique level and was a Lower Level Heaven-Reaching Technique.
However, even a Lower Level Heaven-Reaching Technique was already quite rare among Cultivation Techniques.
After all, even in a colossal existence like Spirit Mountain, not every Bodhisattva was necessarily able to cultivate a Heaven-Reaching Technique.
’No wonder those three were so reckless. The moment they saw me use the Dao Heart Demon Planting Technique, they didn’t even bother to probe and immediately went all out and tried to kill me. So they were relying on the power of their Cultivation Technique.’
Thinking this, Su Que immediately began to study this "Seven-Turns Primordial Technique."
After studying it for a while, he discovered that this "Seven-Turns Primordial Technique" was a proper, orthodox Cultivation Technique with no side effects.
If he cultivated it, his cultivation would indeed improve. It was just that he felt there was something lacking.
’I have to add side effects into this Cultivation Technique.’
’I might even push it to completion and turn it into a version of the Eight-Nine Mysterious Technique that has side effects.’
Thus, next, Su Que pondered how to meld his various Martial Arts that carried side effects into the "Seven-Turns Primordial Technique."
Outside the cave, those Cultivators still did not dare enter.
Some Cultivators, seeing that there had been no movement for too long, thought that the person inside the cave must have high cultivation and that everyone who went in had already died.
They figured that if they went in there would be no role for them to play anyway, so they left.
Su Que still paid no attention to the Cultivators outside. He simply sat cross-legged and sank into deep thought.
One after another, Martial Arts, Demon Skills, and Evil Techniques with side effects flashed through his mind.
Circulation of the Six Void Skill, Celestial Demon Dissolving Technique, Rakshasa Kui Divine Skill, Sunflower Manual...
He considered many options but had yet to find a way to integrate the methods that damage the body into the "Seven-Turns Primordial Technique," when suddenly a thought leapt up in his heart.
He recalled from the memories of the Arhat and Vajra that the Bodhisattvas and Buddhas of Spirit Mountain all feared one thing—Karmic Force.
Within Karmic Force, there existed Evil Karma.
Evil thoughts and evil causes would all give birth to Evil Karma.
Bodhisattvas and Buddhas feared Evil Karma the most because Evil Karma could damage their bodies and cultivation.
From the memories of the Arhat and Vajra he knew that several thousand years ago Spirit Mountain had been zealously spreading faith throughout various realms, using the Wish Power of mortal beings for cultivation.
During that period, although the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas reaped benefits from cultivating with Wish Power,
the bottlenecks they had been stuck at for a very long time loosened under the impact of Wish Power.
However, Wish Power also brought them Evil Karma.
What raised their cultivation was the good Karmic Force within Karmic Force, while what damaged their bodies and cultivation was the Evil Karma within Karmic Force.
As time went on, the Evil Karma that had always been lurking in their bodies began to backlash against them.
Thus, the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas created Dharma Gates to separate the Evil Karma from their own flesh bodies and Primordial Spirits.
And this portion of Evil Karma—some of it gave birth to life, some polluted the Upper Realm, and some polluted a portion of the Buddhas and Monks.
The lives born from Evil Karma, together with the Buddhas and Monks who were polluted, departed from Spirit Mountain and formed the Evil Buddha Sect.
And the leader of the Evil Buddha Sect was Demon Buddha Puxun.
After the birth of the Evil Buddha Sect, because of the pleasure of degeneration and the rapid power gained through degeneration, it spread through the Unclaimed Land like a plague and once ran rampant for a time.
After Spirit Mountain fought a great war with the Evil Buddha Sect, the Monks of the Evil Buddha Sect were greatly reduced in number, but there were still often quite a few of them.
So Spirit Mountain often had Buddhas and Bodhisattvas hunting down and encircling and suppressing that faction of Demon Buddha Puxun.
To this day, the Divine Buddhas of Spirit Mountain still have not killed Demon Buddha Puxun, and the Unclaimed Land still frequently sees organizations and Monks of the Evil Buddha Sect.
The Evil Buddha Sect came into being because their bodies and Spirits had completely degenerated.
Their bodies and Spirits turned into the same nature as Evil Karma.
Therefore, by cultivating with Evil Karma they could raise their cultivation.
Those who cultivated Buddhist Technique in Spirit Mountain and came into contact with Evil Karma would suffer tremendous harm.
Some Cultivators who were driven to desperation by Spirit Mountain would choose to join the Evil Buddha Sect, letting their own bodies and Spirits degenerate and using Evil Karma for cultivation, while others would be polluted by the Evil Buddha Sect.
Once they achieved success in cultivation, if they encountered the Divine Buddhas of Spirit Mountain, they could use Evil Karma to wound them.
Since Su Que was also at odds with Spirit Mountain, and because Evil Karma could give rise to side effects, he immediately thought of integrating this method of cultivating with Evil Karma into the cultivation of the "Seven-Turns Primordial Technique."
Although he cultivated mostly Evil Techniques and Demon Skills, his body could still be counted as a perfectly pure, flawless body without the slightest taint from Evil Techniques or Demon Skills.
Therefore, Evil Karma still had side effects for him.
He intended to use these side effects to accelerate his cultivation speed.
If he cultivated the "Seven-Turns Primordial Technique" properly, he could improve his cultivation, body, and Spirit.
But if he fused Karmic Force into the "Seven-Turns Primordial Technique," then this "Seven-Turns Primordial Technique" would acquire side effects.
Once the side effects were reversed, his cultivation, body, and Spirit would all improve even faster.
Karmic Force is a formless thing; though it exists within cause and effect, not everyone can touch it.
Only Cultivators who have cultivated Buddhist Technique can sense and touch this thing called Karmic Force.
From the Arhat’s memories, Su Que knew of a Buddhist Daoist Technique that relied on Karmic Force for cultivation, called the "Great Sun Aspiration Skill."
Once one cultivated this technique, one would know how to transform Karmic Force into one’s own cultivation.
If an Arhat intended to cultivate through Karmic Force, he would cultivate the "Great Sun Aspiration Skill."
Then, by means of this Cultivation Technique, he would refine into his own cultivation the Karmic Force generated in the mortal world because people worshiped him and prayed to him.
’It’s just that I have not established any faith at present, so where am I supposed to find this Karmic Force?’
As Su Que pondered, he suddenly thought of that branch of Demon Buddha Puxun.
According to the memories of the Arhat and Vajra, Demon Buddha Puxun’s branch was called the "Evil Buddha Dao." It was completely opposed to mainstream Buddhist Technique and cultivated the Evil Karma that the Divine Buddhas of Spirit Mountain feared.
Karmic Force is born from cause and effect and is divided into good Karma and Evil Karma.
The Monks of Demon Buddha Puxun’s branch could sense and make use of Evil Karma.
If the source of a Martial Artist’s power lies in Qi Blood and True Qi,
then the source of power for the Monks of Demon Buddha Puxun’s branch is Evil Karma.
Su Que thought that perhaps he could obtain Evil Karma from the Monks of Demon Buddha Puxun’s branch.
He could then merge the "Great Sun Aspiration Skill" into the "Seven-Turns Primordial Technique" and cultivate by borrowing the side effects of Evil Karma.
However, the Upper Realm was vast. Although there were quite a few Monks of Demon Buddha Puxun’s branch, hunting them down would still be rather troublesome.
Suddenly, Su Que thought of those Cultivators still outside.
’Perhaps I can make use of these Cultivators to find Evil Monks of Demon Buddha Puxun’s branch for me.’
Once this thought surfaced in Su Que’s heart, he stood up and walked out of the cave.
Outside the cave there were still a dozen or so Cultivators staring at the cave entrance.
Suddenly, they saw an utterly ordinary-looking man walk out from within the cave.
